Successful Barn Door Installation!
Hardware installation according to instructions: just fine. Recycled our old bathroom doors (cheap, hollow doors...nothing to lose if the recycled door idea failed). Sanded stained doors, painted one side at a time, then made shallow, fake grooves to resemble individual wood boards with Dremel. Attached a thin board in the middle of each door and a strip at the tops so doors wouldn't splinter when drilled...and they will; also adds to looks and helps with doors' support. Made a paper template so the four sets of holes into the two doors would be in the same location (hopefully). Added a 1"x4"x8' header board onto wall centered over door opening so hardware and doors would be centered over doorway, not over studs. Second person extremely helpful (probably necessary) for attaching any items to wall. Very happy with the way the doors glide...super smooth. Great price. I can't imagine more expensive hardware meeting our needs any better. By using recycled doors, we spent very little money on the entire project. By the way, most of this work was completed by the wife, with necessary support provided by the husband at just the right time. Thanks, dear! This was our first attempt at a barn door. And thanks, DIY Barn Door. Product shipped as promised; all parts included; no problems at all; would purchase again. Side note: We will be making our own door guide for the bottom of the door since we were unable to hang our make-shift doors the prescribed distance from the floor. No worries; it will be just fine, and not even that necessary.

Beautiful sliding barn door hardware
Excellent sliding barn door hardware. Great quality. The product was exactly as advertised. Beautiful matte black finish. Doors slide (i.e. roll) as smooth as silk and are very quiet. The only gripe I have is that the instruction's measurements were in millimeters only. I was able to do the conversion with the help of an online mm-to-inches conversion application and just rounded the fractions to the nearest 16th of an inch, and everything worked out fine. The instructions were pretty lame (aside from the millimeter issues), but assembling the hardware is pretty logical even without the instructions. I would definitely recommend this product because of it's beauty and quality.

Turning into a U-Shape one, Hanging shorter door!
We want to hang our 6-feet-high wood curtains on our 8 feet-high gate. It’s crazy and risky, but I finished it. We are satisfied with this product. I did the following changes: 1. Drill a hole on the Z-shape parts (on the 4-holes one). As shown on the picture. And it will turn into a U-shape barn door hanger. 2. Since our curtain is only 3/4 inch thinck, I add one one additional 1 inch wood to increase the thickness. 3. Since the door is too short to fit the gate , I extend the hanging bar with a 18 inch thin plate hardware from home depot. 4. Make the additional wood longer, so they can anti-jump. I don’t use the plastic small ones since they are too short and weak. 5.paint all additional woods and hardware into black useing the caned spray paint from Home Depot. Although the “doors” is very very short, they are stable and firm on the rail, and will not fall down, because my new anti-jump wood is high enough. It swing a little bit but i needn’t worry, since the extender makes doors keep light as they were.

Double Bypass Barn Door Kit works great
Love this product. We have an area where our washer and dryer are in the upstairs of our townhome. There used to be bi-fold doors that we removed years ago so the washer and dryer were completely visible. We did not want to put the bi-fold doors back and love the barn door look so decided to put barn doors in this area. Due to the space we could not have just one door and needed a bypass type door and we found this bypass barn door hardware. We have installed it and have the doors up and we think it looks great. The only problem we had is that we did not realize how much "barn" doors cost but we found suitable substitutes that look great. We have to paint the doors but they work and we no longer have to look at the washer and dryer. Would highly recommend the product and if we had another area we would put the barn doors there but our small townhome doesn't need or cannot accomodate another door of this type.

Great item.
Quick shipping, arrived undamaged with all parts accounted for. The item itself is of high quality, however needed to use YouTube to complete installations. Included directions could be rewritten to be more specific on steps of instruction.

Beautiful item
I wanted to add a barn door look to my walk in shoe closet. After searching for low profile hardware I came across this beauty on my favorite shopping website (Amazon). It is everything I dreamed it would be. It is well made and very sturdy. It was extremely easy to install. You cannot do it alone, because the bar is heavy, but two people can do this in a matter of an hour or less. The only mishap we had is when my boyfriend dropped the drill bit and broke the glass panel. We fixed it and it was perfect.

Nice set of hardware, especially for the price!
I built two ‘barn doors’ for our church to cover the opening from the kitchen to the fellowship center. The doors were roughly 4’ square, each. This hardware was a breeze to work with. As others have said, there are no written instructions, just pictures, but if you are handy enough to hang a door, you are handy enough to figure that out. Also, a millimeter to inch conversion app may be helpful for you as all the given measurements are in mm. As a word to the wise, you may want to figure out where the roller stops will go and put them on the track before mounting the track to the wall. This is the first set of sliding door hardware I’ve installed and didn’t think that far in advance. It’s not really a big deal if you don’t add them to the track first, but then you will have to slide the stop onto the end of the track, remove a bolt, slide the stop past the bolt, replace the bolt and repeat until the stop is where you want it. Not difficult, but a pain none the less. Also, there are left and right stops, which may not be obvious if you have not installed one before. The Allen wrenches that comes with the kit are not good, you should have another set of Allen wrenches as these will strip pretty quickly. I was very pleased with this set of hardware. Considering how affordable it is, I had some reservations but was pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to install and how well it works. I would highly recommend this set.

Good look and functional
Replaced bifold doors in a Small hallway. This looks fantastic and is far more functional.

Nice barn door kit!
Heavy duty materials and easy to install once you get past the pictograms with metric measurements. Doors roll very smoothly and the included hardware is sufficient. I used stock hollow-core doors and it works just fine, just go easy on bolt torque.
